Free guides for parents of neurodivergent children

Start with what is going on for your family today.

Short answer: Neurodivergent Minds has seven free PDF guides for parents and carers: waiting for CAMHS, meltdowns and shutdowns, sleep, picky eating and three on home education. We also have a support page for Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). Below, each problem also lists the printable packs, workbooks, app or book that go further, if they would be useful. Everything works with or without a diagnosis.

Frequently asked questions

Are the parent guides really free?

Yes. All seven are free PDFs. Five have no sign-up. While You Wait and the meltdowns guide ask for an email address, which adds you to our email list, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Do I need a diagnosis to use these?

No. Everything here works with or without a diagnosis, and if you recognise your child in something, that is enough to try it.

Is there a free guide for parents waiting for CAMHS?

Yes. While You Wait is a free 19-page guide for parents waiting on CAMHS, an assessment or other support.

What do you have for children with PDA?

See our PDA support page for Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). It gathers Back on Track, our PDA-friendly home education app, calm workbooks for ages 7 to 11 and free guides.
