What we keep confidential, and the few situations where we might need to share.
Last updated: 12 October 2026 · Next review: October 2027
What you talk about in sessions is confidential. Support workers don't discuss you with anyone outside Neurodivergent Minds, including your university, family or friends, unless you ask us to or one of the exceptions below applies.
Wherever it's safe to, we'll tell you before we share anything and explain why.
At the start of support we'll ask whether you're happy for us to share your work plan and support records with your university's disability team, for example to coordinate support or for audit. This is your choice. Saying no won't change the support you get, and you can change your mind at any time.
Support workers take part in professional supervision. Cases may be discussed in supervision without names or identifying details.
Support workers take remote sessions from a private space where they can't be overheard, use headphones, and never record sessions. See our Remote Support Policy.
Email nmh@neurodivergentminds.com. You can ask for this policy in another format (large print, plain text, or read through together in a session).
