How we make sure DSA public funds are used fairly and our decisions are impartial.
Last updated: 12 October 2026 · Next review: October 2027
DSA is public money. Following DfE's conflicts of interest guidance for NMH providers, we make sure no personal, financial, business or family relationship affects the support we provide or how DSA funds are used.
We keep an up-to-date statement of interests and submit it to DfE when asked. Any material change is reported to DfE within 10 working days. Every support worker declares any interests (for example, other NMH or assessment work, or a connection with a student) before starting, and whenever their circumstances change.
If a conflict is identified before or during support, we'll stop and tell the student and Student Finance England, who may arrange a different provider. We'll record what happened and how it was resolved.
